Sunday 3rd October Right to Work etc Protest at Tory Party Conference in Birmingham

Tuesday 5th October – Hackney Alliance to Defend Public Services ( HAtDPS)  Open/General Meeting @ the MOTH Club, Valette Street, Hackney  Come and help plan, organise and network resistance to stop the cuts

Sunday 10th October – Refugee Workers Cultural Association Women’s Branch, Women’s discussion day on fighting cuts; with speakers including Rebecca Galbraith ESOL Teacher Feminist Fightback, Jenny Sutton UCU Branch Secretary

@ Unit C1 3-19 Victorian Grove by Stoke Newington Police Station/mini Tesco

Sunday 10th October – Hackney Solidarity Network/Reel News – Evening of films and discussion on fighting academies including brand new Anti Academies Alliance film and speakers from HTA/NUT  7-9 @ the MOTH Club, Valette Street.

Tuesday 12th October – Hackney ‘Anti-Academies Alliance’ meeting 7.30 The Round Chapel, Lower Clapton Road. Stop 3 planned new Academies in Hackney

Tuesday October 19th – HAtDPS  Open/General Meeting, MOTH Club, Valette Street Hackney

Wednesday October 20th – Con-Dem government to announce massive cuts programme

Saturday 23rd October – Demonstration and Rally Fight the Cuts Defend Public Services meet 11.00 @ Unity House, Chalton Street, Euston. March to TUC. Called by RMT, PCS,FBU, NSSN etc HAtDPS is supporting

Wednesday 27th October – Lobby of Hackney Council called by HATDPS from 5.30pm Stop the Cuts!

Saturday 30th October – Women at the Cutting Edge. Feminist Fightback Workshops on fighting the cuts The Arbour, 100 Shandy Street, Stepney Green E1 4ST

And don’t forget to sign the petition to keep CLR James name on the Dalston Library

And also check the what looks like will be an amazing photo exhibition, at the Hackney Museum, about the Four Aces Club, as part of Black History Month, which the council seems to have forgotten they had demolished so recently! http://www.hackney.gov.uk/c-museum-events.htm
